Welcome to Social Media 4 Fitness Professionals. Your resource for utilizing social media to grow your fitness business. Never miss an update, subscribe by RSS feed or by email

You are posting everything you do up on the internet. You feel that you are becoming slightly obsessive about it, finding moments to update twitter with your whereabouts, rushing to get your latest picture up on Facebook. You can suffer from social media burn out!

So this is what I want you to do. Take a deep breath… step away from the computer… clear your mind and think of someone else that you can help promote. Now get back to your computer and start spreading the word about how completely awesome this person is!

How does that bring you clients?

I don’t know if you believe in business Karma, but it seems that the more you help another’s business, the more you help your own.

When you pass along a referral, it is most likely that your kindness will be reciprocated. Not only that, but you will be demonstrating your good nature. People will pick up on that and be much more excited about you and what you are doing!

Action item… this week test the waters by finding a person, a service or a company that you are not associated with and pass them along to your network! I would suggest doing this at least once a week.
